Thoughts and Reflections

- In Grief -

"Refuge In Grief"

O Mary, God's Mother, and my Mother too
No one has known greater sorrow than you ;
Your innocent Son you saw nailed to a tree
Yet you sought no revenge, but forgave, just as he.

My trials and troubles to you must seem small -
I'm sick and I'm weary, but that is not all ;
Your Son seems so distant, beyond all belief -
Please beg him to show me His love in my grief

And ask Him to strengthen my faith which is weak,
For your child I am sure you are willing to speak.
With your prayers and His help to support me in pain
The value of suffering at last will be plain.
