Friends of St Mary's, Little Crosby Visit to Leighton Hall,
Near Carnforth, Lancashire. |
| Leighton
Hall - a Catholic home set in a beautiful valley in Lancashire. The home of Mr & Mrs R.Gillow Reynolds. The historic seat of the Gillow family, whose ancestors have lived at Leighton for over four centuries. The House is a comfortable home, with some beautiful furniture, of which naturally, there are a number of very fine early pieces by Gillows. The setting is quite magnificent. The house is set in a natural amphitheatre in the landscape, with extensive views of north Lancashire and the Lakeland hills. |
